Karsyn auditioned for the Nutcracker on Friday, and once again landed a part in the holiday ballet. She will be performing with the Moscow Ballet at the Flint Center in Cupertino on December 23rd. There are two performances (3:00pm and 7:30pm).

You can order tickets online at Ticketmaster via the following links:

Sonya will be buying tickets on Monday night, so if you'd like to sit with us, send her an email ASAP. Here is my post after she earned her first role and from last January after her first perforance.

Back Update

Had my Cortisone epidural this morning. The procedure went pretty smoothly, but the after affects have been a bit of a pain. Well, that’s not entirely true. When the doctor first injected the needle, I think it brushed up (or pricked) my nerve, because a jolt shot down my leg, which felt like I was getting electrocuted. Other than that, it went fine .

I was down for the count most of the day. I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised that my back is sore, after having a needle stuck into my spine. I couldn’t really move around too much, so I parked it on my back for most of the day.

Here's are a couple of the issues I'm dealing with:
- Herniated Lumbar Disk
- Lumbar Spine Stenosis

Around 5pm my right arm started to go numb, and I started to get a little nauseous. I tried to sleep it off, but the numbness really started to freak me out. The information sheet that the hospital sent home with me indicated that there was the chance that these side effects would occur. I’ll try to sleep it off tonight and see how I feel in the morning.

Sonya has been a trooper, taking care of me. I’m essentially a blob, but she puts up with me.

Thanks to all of you who passed on your best wishes or called.
