Karsyn's Big Day
Well, the day had to come sooner or later. Just not sure we (Sonya and I) were quite prepared for the fact that our little girl is growing up and that she's kicking off her formal education. That day arrived today, with Karsyn taking that huge leap into kindergarten.
Our "big girl" is now attending West Valley Elementary and is embarking on the educational quest that here dad hopes will end with a doctorate from Stanford in about 18-20 years. Having already attended pre-school, the first day of kindergarten was just another day of learning to the old pro. She's lucky enough to have a few kids that she knows from pre-shool also attend the same school, so the transition was an easy one....for her.
Sonya and I had to come to grips with the fact that our 6lb 5 oz bundle of joy that we welcomed into this world just a couple of years ago is now absorbing all that the world has to offer. We are very proud, but a little sad. Our baby is growing up and there's nothing we can do about it.
Ms Redke, Karsyn's new teacher, has been given the privilage of guiding our pride and joy through this first year of her illustrious career as a student. Hopefully she'll live up to the high standards that I have set.
