Enter the Shoposphere

Just in time for the holiday season, Yahoo just released the Shoposphere, a community based list of shopping pick lists. The way it works is, any registered Yahoo user can setup a list of their favorite items found on Yahoo Shopping. These lists can be themed, so that particular shoppers can get gift ideas based on the theme of the list.

For example, if I was looking for a gift for a person who loves gadgets, I could easily do a search of the Shoposphere for “gadgets”. That would return all the lists that are focused on gadgets.

I just so happened to great a gadgets list, I’ve titled, “Gadget Dude’s Gadget Mania”. Check it out. You can see all the gadget items I’ve found to be interesting. I’ve also left comments about these items.

The folks that visit this list can leave a comment on if they think the list is helpful (located just to the left of my photo on the list). So far 10 out of 10 people think that list in particular is helpful. Those users can also leave comments about my list. Comments are located at the bottom of the list.

I’ve also create two more lists:

Dads and their Daughters – a holiday gift guide for dads who are looking for gift ideas for their young daughters

And

Poker Night – a gift guide for anyone who loves poker

I’m pretty versed in all three of these subjects, so the guides were naturals for me. Ok, ok, so I did get a little help from Karsyn on the Daughter gift guide :)
