2nd Grader in the House!

2nd Grader
Our 2nd Grader
Karsyn started 2nd grade on Thursday. What a difference a year makes. She got the teacher she wanted, and her attitude is just incredible. It's like night and day compared to last year, when she ended up with a teacher she didn't know and none of her friends in her class.

This year, Karsyn was hoping to get Miss B (which is short for some long name that I can't spell), but she ended up with Mrs. P, who as is turns out, is the former Miss B. Apparently Miss B, got married over the summer, so she's now Mrs. P. Confused? 2nd grade soap operas are actually quite challenging to understand at first, but you figure them out after having them explained to you by an excited 6 year-old a million times.

Meeting Mrs. P
Actually, even I could tell the difference from the second the bell rang for teh first time on the first day of class. Mrs. P welcomed everyone at teh door with a hug and a huge smile. There were apples waiting for all the kids on the their desks, along with a nice note to parents explaining how this year was going to be fantastic.

Is Mrs. P still on that post matrimonial high? Perhaps, but if it equates to a great 2nd grade experience, I'm all for it.

Karsyn is happy, Sonya is happy, which means Ryan and I are happy. Here's to a great school year...
